Here is why you can’t ruin your diet

Introduction

If you’ve ever tried dieting, you know that it’s not easy. Even if you’re successful at losing weight, keeping it off can be extremely difficult. This article will explore the many reasons why people fail on their diets and how they might be able to avoid those pitfalls in order to successfully achieve their goals.

Following a diet that is black and white is guaranteed to fail because it is too rigid

A diet that is black and white is guaranteed to fail because it’s too rigid. It’s like telling yourself that you can’t have any chocolate, even if it’s just one piece of dark chocolate. No matter how much self-control you have, eventually the craving will get so bad that you’re going to give into it if only for a moment.

You need to let go of the idea of perfectionism when it comes to weight loss and dieting. A little bit here and there isn’t going to send your body into shock mode; instead, try incorporating healthier foods gradually into your normal routine so they become an integral part of who you are rather than something foreign or different from what makes up your lifestyle normally (and therefore easily avoided).

Because you are trying to diet on your own

There are tons of reasons why people can’t stick to a diet on their own. Here are some:

  • They don’t know how to start a diet and they need someone to guide them through the process.
  • They find themselves unable to adapt their diets when life events happen, such as going away for vacation or having an important work project due in the middle of your diet.
  • They get overwhelmed by all the information out there, causing them to give up before they even begin!

If this sounds like you, then stop what you’re doing and read on! In this article I will show you how I helped one client lose weight with minimal effort using three simple steps that anyone can follow–even if it’s their first time trying out a diet plan.

Eating is ok, going over your calories is also ok, its all about balance and perspective

We know that calories are not the enemy and that going over your calories is okay. You can’t ruin your diet. So what does this mean for you?

Eating is ok, eating more than you want to is also ok. It’s all about perspective and balance. A calorie deficit isn’t necessarily evil (and neither is a surplus), but it’s important to consider how many of those excess calories come from protein, fat or carbohydrates—and if they’re coming from processed foods or whole foods.

When people box themselves into a rigid diet, they set themselves up to fail, they then beat themselves up about failing and come to the conclusion that diets are not for them

When people box themselves into a rigid diet, they set themselves up to fail, they then beat themselves up about failing and come to the conclusion that diets are not for them. I want to challenge this notion by asking you a question: why do you think diets fail? Is it because of the food being eaten or because of the person following it?

If we strip away all preconceived notions of what ‘dieting’ should look like, what is left is food consumption. The more rigid someone makes their diet plan (i.e., no eating carbs), the less likely they are going to be successful in sticking with it long enough for health benefits to come through because there will always be something else they want/need/crave that falls outside of those tightly defined parameters. By being more flexible with yourself around your food choices, it helps take away some of those feelings associated with failure and guilt due to non-compliance with “rules”. Instead, focus on establishing better habits instead!

Conclusion

It is important to remember that the most important thing is balance. You live in 2022 (or whatever year you are reading this in) and going out, partying, alcohol, chocolate and pizza are going to be part of your life, and excluding them completely is going to be impossible and lead you to misery. Just remember that the key to success is finding what works best for your body type and lifestyle

  1. After I initially left a comment I appear to have clicked the -Notify me when new comments are added- checkbox and now every time a comment is added I receive four emails with the same comment. Perhaps there is an easy method you can remove me from that service? Thanks a lot!
